IS YOUR LIFESTYLE NOURISHING YOU?
Today, I want to inspire you to do some introspection by asking yourself a crucial question: Is your lifestyle nourishing you? This episode isn’t just an exploration; it’s a call to consciousness. My goal is not only for you to walk away with a clear idea of how your daily life influences your well-being, but I also want you to have the tools to reframe the situation if you realize you’re out of alignment.

This episode, “Does Your Lifestyle Nourish You?” came to life after a wonderful discussion with my friend Élise, and I wanted to share my thoughts with you. Here are the themes that will be covered in this episode:
What tools can help us?
1. What is a lifestyle that nourishes us?
A nourishing lifestyle is one that promotes our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It’s about living in a balanced and satisfying way, in alignment with our personal needs, values, and goals. Ultimately, a nourishing lifestyle is one that helps us feel fulfilled, healthy, and in harmony with ourselves and the world around us. It can vary from person to person depending on our needs, values, and circumstances, but the main goal is to promote long-term well-being.
This can also be applied in the context of professional development, which involves a harmony between our daily lifestyle and our career, in order to promote our well-being and our fulfillment at work. I also have a very interesting podcast episode on the subject right here .
A lifestyle that nourishes us also involves recognizing the importance of goals, no matter how small, and understanding that they can bring us a significant sense of accomplishment. Investing time in the pursuit of our goals, even when it seems limited, is crucial. To make this happen, it’s essential to schedule these goals into our schedule. Simply incorporating a small action related to a big goal into our calendar already commits us to action, even if the action hasn’t yet begun. It’s worth noting that procrastination can sometimes try to interfere with our journey, and this is where our commitment to our goals becomes even more essential. Be sure to listen to episode 23 for tips on overcoming procrastination. And finally, when we know our values, it becomes much easier to build a lifestyle that nourishes us.
2. The importance of knowing yourself
Knowing who we are is super important! It helps us make good decisions and guides us towards what is important to us. For example: Are you an extrovert or an introvert? An introvert will need a lot of time alone to recharge, while an extrovert will need the presence of others to regain energy. Or are you busy or free? Before, I didn’t have the schedule I have now and I wanted to be busy thinking that overload made my life more exciting. As I get older, self-knowledge develops. By observing my friends constantly busy between skiing, cycling, classes, etc., I realize that it fulfills them, while for me, it is dizzying. Personally, I like my quiet little life. If you don’t know exactly where you fit into that, I invite you to listen to the episode “Are You Productive or Busy?” .
3. How do we know if our lifestyle is nourishing us?
I invite you to do a simple exercise to assess your well-being: review the last four weeks by consulting your diary. Does your lifestyle nourish you and contribute to your well-being? Add to this another practical exercise by asking yourself how do you feel in the morning, motivated or demotivated? And in the evening, are you satisfied and proud of your day, or rather exhausted with the feeling of not having accomplished enough? To guide you in these reflections, I suggest you participate in the express journaling challenge of 5 minutes per day, explained in detail in episode 26. You can also do regular reviews, whether weekly or monthly. The Planner’s Diary offers both types of reviews, which is automatically part of my own organization. This practice offers a regular opportunity for reflection and adjustment for a more balanced life.
4. Some tools to help us
It’s a process that aims to understand who you are at your core. To help you get to know yourself better, I wanted to share a few tools with you.
First, astrology, based on the position of the planets at our birth, can reveal personality traits and characteristics influenced by the stars. If this intrigues you, I highly recommend listening to episode 24 with Miss Astro, where she shares tips on how astrology can simplify our daily lives. On the other hand, Human Design, the Nova Profile, and the Enneagram are fascinating tools that offer a deep understanding of various aspects of our personality and life path. For a more detailed exploration of these tools, I suggest you check out my full blog post , where I dissect each of them to help you discover rich and complementary perspectives.
